Join Dolores Street Community Services at the 2017 Open Palm Awards on Friday, September 15th, where we will celebrate Dolores Street's accomplishments as well as honor community heroes who work tirelessly for dignity, respect and human rights for immigrants, low income, and homeless communities.
Our Housing & Homeless Services Award will be presented to Wolfgang Stüwe of the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, who has been a key City partner in the success of Casa Quezada, our 52 until supportive housing program, since its opening in 2011.
Our Immigrant Rights Award will go to the African Advocacy Network, a program that joined DSCS in 2009 as an essentially volunteer run group addressing the needs of newly arrived African immigrants. They now have six staff members and will soon spin off to become their own African-led non-profit.
Wendy Phillips, our outgoing Executive Director, will be returning to San Francisco for the event so if you don't have a chance to see her before she leaves, you can see her there!
Finally, stay after the program for a concert from local NAACP Image Award Winning Artist, Sila!
Early Bird discounted ticket offer expires August 14, so get yours now!
